Teacher – the Life Changer

Teachers are special. Parents entrust their children to teachers. Teachers are given the responsibility to nurture the young lives. Teachers are life changers. However, with the turn of the century 16 years ago, changes were seen in the millennial generation. Support is needed for teachers to conquer the 21^st century and meet the changing and evolving needs.

The International Forum for Teachers, Sri Lanka The inaugural teacher conference under the theme ‘Teacher – the Life Changer’ was held on the 11^th of June 2016 at the BMICH Colombo. The conference was jointly organised by Gateway Graduate School, Pearson Edexcel and the University of Nottingham. The conference was open to all teachers in International, Private and State schools. It was stated that the International Forum for Teachers (IFT) is the first conference of an annual initiative. Over 350 teachers gathered from around the country to make the inaugural event a successful one.
