01. Terms used in machinery spaces and names of machinery and equipment (6Hr)
02. Engine-room watch keeping procedures (10Hr)
03. Safe working practices as related to engine-room operations (24Hr)
04. Basic environmental protection procedures (12Hr)
05. Use of appropriate internal communication systems (3Hr)
06. Engine-room alarm systems and ability to distinguish between the various alarms, with special reference to fire-extinguishing gas alarms (12Hr)
07. Safe operation of boilers (17Hr)
08. Knowledge of emergency duties (12Hr)
09. Escape routes from machinery spaces (6Hr)
10. Familiarity with the location and use of fire-fighting equipment in the Machinery spaces (6Hr)
11. Auxiliaries ( basic technical knowledge) (12Hr)
12. Safe operation of equipment (18Hr)
13. Knowledge of bilge and ballasting system (6Hr)
14. Electrical equipment (6Hr)
15. Maritime English (30Hr)
16. Workshop Training (Practical’s) (180Hr)
